About the role:

The VP, Head of Brand Strategy, is the first hire of its kind at Fetch. As a creative, strategic and data-driven thinker, you will bring bigger, innovative ideas to our client base for how to leverage Fetch as the unique platform that it is. 

Our company and product are centered around the world’s biggest brands. Our ideal hire knows and loves these brands, their marketing, advertising, audiences, creativity, messaging and leadership – you thrive on understanding the powerful connection between brands and their customers. 

  • Reporting to our CRO, this leader will support the sales team with a focus on our most strategic accounts. This is the opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual (like you!) to help brands win on Fetch, create innovative uses of the platform and build out a brand-new team to drive impact.  Partnering with our sales team; you’ll understand and evaluate the most significant and promising revenue opportunities. 
  • Produce strategies and/or creative concepts that will build stronger relationships with our clients and help us continue the tremendous momentum we have with the advertising community. 
  • On our biggest revenue opportunities, pitch to some of the most influential marketers in the world, and be an integral part of the team in helping us grow our business.

What you’ll do: 

  • Successfully pitch projects for Fetch and its advertisers with the goal of converting a high proportion of these pitches to go live on the platform
  • Understand a brand’s unique challenges and develop a narrative that makes them feel heard, delivering against key objectives, while highlighting the creative potential and measurable value of the Fetch platform
  • Craft compelling storylines and insight-supported ideas to build persuasive pitches for our customers 
  • Design and produce campaigns that deliver to brief and enhance brand experiences on Fetch
  • Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to develop impactful brand work, whether they are client-side or internally facing; such as product, tech, GTM, or other sales leaders
  • Manage the expectations of all stakeholders through transparent and proactive communications internally and externally
  • Become an embedded partner to the sales team, both reactively and proactively working to drive the business forward.
  • Learn to design workshops and develop industry-leading playbooks for what GREAT looks like on Fetch.

What success looks like in this role: 

  • Builders needed – the ideal hire is motivated by building this team from the ground up, willing to do the one-person show for now, with potential to expand and build out the team.
  • Creative plus strategy chops. You have ideas but know how to plan and execute them.
  • Someone who understands customer centricity. Starting with the client’s brief, you’ll build strategy that supports the client and their objectives.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of directly relevant experience, 5+ years experience managing teams.
  • Experience in a similar role; in the past, maybe you’ve been a creative Brand planner, creative strategist, content strategist or brand manager.
  • Backgrounds in related platforms working on brand strategy teams, working for CPG companies on brand strategy or for creative agencies on CPG customers.
  • CPG, Retail, Restaurant client experience a STRONG plus. 
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, across multiple verticals
  • Ability to work comfortably and effectively in fast-moving environments that can be subject to change 
  • Able to optimize with available resources, demonstrating an agile and lean approach to projects. 
  • Adaptable with ease across verticals and with clients at different levels of maturity of the platform. One day you will be presenting creative best practice the next you may be pitching a custom idea – adaptability is key.

Compensation: 

  • At Fetch, we offer competitive compensation packages to the exceptional folks we hire. The base salary range for this position is $185,000 – $220,000 (this does not include commission or sales plan incentive funds, which our Sales employees are eligible for). We also offer all employees equity in Fetch, so that everyone can benefit from Fetch’s growth.
