Studio Motion Lead

Responsibilities: 

We are looking for a talented Motion Lead, Studio to join Upwork’s Creative Team.

• Lead our in-house Motion team and lead external teams/agency partners in motion design principles.
• Overseeing motion design work from concept to delivery while implementing our brand’s visual style guide. 
• Create high-quality 2D/3D motion graphics/adapting animations for diverse projects, channels, and platforms (such as paid ads, videos, social channels, etc) while adhering to technical constraints.
• Understanding project goals, daily tasks, and deadlines, while maintaining an ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Creating, supporting, and enforcing motion workflow and processes, offering guidance and education to cross functional/departmental team members as needed.

What it takes to catch our eye:

• 8+ years brand or agency experience.
• Experience working on integrated, digital, social, and product-first campaigns and leading a team.
• Strong attention to detail, process, and excellent communication skills.
• Proficient knowledge of current trends and innovations in motion graphics.
• Proficient in After Effects, Maya, Cinema 4D, 3D Studio Max, Premiere Pro, and associated plugins as necessary.

• A keen sense of timing and direction.
• Detailed-oriented with a thinker/maker mindset.
• Experience working on small and large scale conceptual/integrated campaigns.
• Presentation design skills in Google Slides.
• Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Expert Figma knowledge and experience is a plus.
