This position will support our Illinois contract and will focus on specific project workstreams (project Interfaces, Training, Data Conversion and System Testing)

Acentra is looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

As part of the PMO, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end workstreams within an overall project.  You will work with teams, functional and matrix managers, technical staff, and the client to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.

Your ability to envision, strategize and plan will support your ability to execute project components. You can capably diagnose and solve problems, identify risk and strategize mitigation. You are willing to roll-up your sleeves and do what it takes to deliver. You can successfully manage the customer, project communications, risks and support operations through stabilization of a new contract or scope of work.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead cross-functional teams to implement projects for small and large contracts in the health care space (federal, state, commercial); support other company initiatives/projects as needed
  • Project Governance:  Develop and deliver documentation including (but not limited to): Project schedule, status reports, risk management status, communication management status, customer meeting agenda/notes, internal meeting agenda/notes
  • Deliverables Management:  Review and support operations’ development and submission of written project deliverables; obtain all necessary customer sign-off
  • Readiness Management:  Evaluate and support project readiness
  • Risk Management:  Manage issues and risks; work with the team to develop mitigation strategies, drive issues to resolution and escalate to senior leadership as needed
  • Technical Acumen:  Quickly learn our healthcare IT systems (UM, CM, assessment workflow) technology – must have ability to learn new technology quickly
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in clinical, allied health, business, public health, public administration, hospital administration, health care administration, business administration or technical field;
  • Bachelor’s degree in clinical, allied health, business, public health, public administration, hospital administration, health care administration, business administration or technical field;
  • 5 years’ professional experience in Project Management – project planning, delivery, and management in IT related environment
  • 2 years’ of experience in an external client-facing role with consultative-level communication skills amongst a variety of stakeholders
  • 2 years’ of Health programs knowledge, such as Medicaid, MMIS, Social Services, Claims or related
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt or other PM related certification
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams; Project, SharePoint, and other project management tools

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Master’s degree preferred

Compensation 

The pay range for this position is $70,458 – $118,7000

“Based on our compensation program, an applicant’s position placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.”
