Principal Product Manager – Operations and Observability

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of a long-term product roadmap that strategically improves the deployment, upgrades, and operational management of the database across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Engage with customers to deeply understand their operational challenges and long-term needs. Use these insights to drive innovative solutions that enhance deployment workflows, minimize disruptions, and optimize system management.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure the successful implementation and release of operational improvements, adhering to quality standards and delivery timelines.
- Establish best practices, playbooks, and guidelines for customers to effectively operate TiDB effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of product management experience, with a focus on infrastructure, cloud services, or enterprise software, including a track record of driving strategic product improvements.
- Proven experience in gathering and integrating customer feedback into long-term product roadmaps, with an emphasis on operational innovation.
- Expertise in Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms, and a deep understanding of the operational concerns of enterprise customers managing mission-critical systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Proven track record of driving product innovation, delivering customer value, and achieving business results.
