My name is Dan and I am the CEO of Blue Tree – a data-driven content marketing agency committed to helping our clients grow. Since 2016, we’ve been building consumer brands and helping SaaS businesses make more moolah with search. As avid product users of most major software products, we realized that search was a black box for most developers and entrepreneurs, one that they were either neglecting or just doing wrong. We built Blue Tree to help SaaS companies crush organic traffic and generate more sales.
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Marketing Director to lead our digital marketing agency’s strategic initiatives and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of our marketing efforts, including SEO, content marketing, social media, ensuring they align with our clients’ objectives and deliver measurable results. With a strong emphasis on team leadership and data-driven decision-making, this role will be pivotal in enhancing our agency’s reputation and expanding our client base.
This role is a full-time position.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Drive revenue growth and profitability for the business by implementing effective marketing strategies.
- Hire and build a talented team as needed to support business objectives.
- Expand and grow the product line to meet market demands and customer needs.
- Stay up-to-date with current technology and content trends to ensure the business remains competitive.
- Regularly check in with and motivate the team to maintain high performance and morale.
- Edit and oversee all content operations to ensure quality and consistency.
- Review and update business processes related to content, including editing, output, and systems, to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage and oversee content ROI to ensure marketing efforts are delivering value.
- Aggressively leverage AI tools to grow and scale the business efficiently.
Requirements
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a marketing leadership role (CMO, HOM, Dir. of Marketing, etc.)
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and managing marketing teams.
- Proven 3+ years of experience leading growth initiatives or managing a digital agency, with a focus on PR, SEO, content, or a combination of these areas.
- Strong expertise in SEO and content marketing, with a deep understanding of current content and AI trends and the ability to stay ahead of industry developments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively, with meticulous attention to detail, particularly in SEO where even minor changes can significantly impact content quality and authenticity.
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset, with the ability to interpret and act on performance metrics to optimize marketing efforts.
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field, as well as an MBA or advanced degree, is a plus.
