Profile

We are looking for a SWE3 or possibly SWE4 that is a Software Engineer first, experienced with Golang, which is our stack of choice. I’d expect them to have past experience developing production Golang applications. They can be web Golang applications, libraries, CLIs, I don’t particularly care.

Golang experience is very important. I know we don’t usually expect proficiency in a single language but they would be a Software Engineer working on Software for Infrastructure and Local Development tooling using mostly Golang with the side-mission of helping ramp-up the quality of the Golang code and projects.

Maybe we can work around a lack of Golang proficiency for someone who is otherwise the perfect candidate. I’m thinking of someone who would otherwise be an accomplished Software Engineer with deep Infrastructure expertise and has shown proficiency in several programming languages and ability to learn them on the job. So the team could realistically mentor them to SWE3 level of proficiency within ~3 months and then they would be able to perform their job.

Otherwise we’d expect the candidate to have strong fundamentals in core areas such as Software Architecture, AWS, Kubernetes APIs, CI/CD, Networking and Developer Experience. Past experience developing Developer Experience tooling, Software Testing solutions or similar would be a bonus. Additional past experience developer Kubernetes Operators or any other development against Kubernetes APIs would also be a bonus.

About the position:

As part of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation by creating solutions that improve the day-to-day work experience of our 500+ Engineers, enabling them to deliver software faster, with greater quality and security. Your mission will be to make it simple and efficient for Engineering teams to follow best practices through the tools, processes and automation you develop.

Main Responsibilities:

  • You will propose innovative solutions to optimize systems and processes, ensuring high-quality performance across all platforms.
  • You will develop and maintain automation tools that streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • You will ensure that all modules, models, and services are built with speed and quality in mind, using the best practices available.
  • You will establish processes and guardrails to simplify adherence to best practices, making it easier for teams to stay aligned with quality standards.
  • You will continuously seek improvements and refine existing systems to support fast and high-quality delivery.

Requirements

What we are looking for someone with:

  • Strong fundamentals in core areas such as Software Architecture, AWS, Kubernetes APIs, CI/CD, Networking and Developer Experience.
  • Experience developing production Golang applications, libraries, CLIs, etc to improve the Developer Experience of Engineering Teams.
  • The idea to learn and deliver real impact through high-quality, data-driven, and structured software and who value work-life balance.
  • Proficiency in English or Portuguese;

You will stand out if you have one or more of these items:

  • Previous experience in Platform teams.
  • Experience developing Developer Experience tooling, Software Testing solutions or similar.
  • Experience developer Kubernetes Operators or any other development against Kubernetes APIs would also be a bonus.
  • Experience in the Incident Management and Continuous Improvement process.
  • Knowledge and experience in AI concepts and implementation in Platform teams.
  • Knowledge and experience in Engineering Productivity metrics analysis frameworks.
  • Having participated in projects related to Knowledge Sharing for Engineering teams (creating courses, LMS platforms or something related).
