We’re looking for an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to support our customers and join our passionate team of high-impact problem solvers.
About the role:
As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will support the installation, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of agency cyber controls for the software factory. Assist in designing and managing the security controls within the CI/CD pipeline. Provide Production Support of the software artifcants and the CI/CD pipeline. Provide second level problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Support the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. A working knowledge is desirable in various software systems and architectures, communications protocols: and network hardware devices.
What we are looking for:
- 6 plus years of relevant hands-on experience
- Deep understanding of Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies
- Advanced networking experience
- Experience with managing Service-Mesh, like Istio
- Extensive experience in software systems installations & configuration
- Dedicated to automation, system efficiency, and security
- Experience in setting up and integrating enterprise-grade cloud-based services
- Experience with at least 2 of the following Java, Node.js, Terraform Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Python
- Proficiency with Log Management and Analytics tools
- Ability to oversee system installations
- Providing design artifacts and requirements verification test results
- Further development and definition of cyber performance requirements
- Participating and revising Cybersecurity Procedures documentation in the CI/CD pipeline.
- Executing Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and vulnerability scans
- Documenting data flow of developed applications and documentation of data flow over all permitted connections and provide OQE that shows unauthorized traffic is not present on the network
- Fix or mitigate any vulnerabilities and issues identified during development and throughout the Performer’s Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) process
- Obtain CompTIA Security+ or other DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification within the first 90 days of employment with Raft
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related field
Highly preferred:
- Proficiency in writing custom Helm Charts
- Experience with Big Data platforms like Kafka or Hadoop
- Advanced programming skills in multiple languages
- Certifications such as CKA or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
Clearance Requirements:
- Active Secret security clearance
